Science may make the world go ‘round, but it can also make one’s head spin – depending on how it is conveyed. Learn techniques to make technical concepts understandable and compelling to individuals outside your area of expertise. The objective of this HurleyWrite Lunch & Learn session is to discuss strategies for distilling and illustrating complex concepts in prose and presentations. The session will be applicable to those in commercial and academic environments.
Kristine's Bio
Kristine earned her B.S. degree in Biochemistry and Ph.D. in Food Chemistry from Rutgers University (NJ). She has held a National Science Foundation K-12 teaching fellowship in Life & Earth Sciences and continues to be active in science outreach on behalf of the Institute of Food Technologists. She currently indulges her pedagogical streak by training technical sales staff, writing product literature and overseeing the Applications Laboratory of Balchem Corporation’s food and nutrition division.
